Welcome to my website! First of all, I'm not very good at site building, as this -is- my first...Hopefully it will go through several updates and changes in the near future. Basicly, as you likely already are aware, this site is made to flesh out characters of a MUD called Lensmoor. A good term to get familiar with, if you're not already aquainted, is 'tpb' (the player behind). This term is generally used be people on Lensmoor to distinguish wether it is their character, or the person playing them who is speaking/writing, and thus to distinguish IC (in character) from OOC (out of character), in instances when lines might seem blurred. It also serves as people signatures when they don't wish their real (rl) name to be known (as the web is a big place, and not everyone out there is trustworthy). That being said, this website belongs to tpb Vodran. A little bit about that, as well...Vodran, as well as all my characters, and all things on this website, are to be considered intellectual property, either of myself, or someone else -- do not copy them without permission, as it is -very- rude, and in violation of international law. If you want to copy, relate to, incorperate, spoof, spin-off, or work with any of my material, in any way, contact me, and I will get back to you concerning your request. Don't spam my email, either. That's also agains the law. ;) Vodran, as mentioned before, is the fictional creation of my imagination within the world of Lensmoor. Within this world are two continents, Lensmoor, and Antrippa, which have been at war for so long that none but the gods know why it started. It's essentially a Midieval-European setting. The continent of Lensmoor is basicly temperate, and it is home to goodly races, such as the elf-like Sidhe, humans, gnomes, haikjadiam, and so on. Antrippa contains races such as Orcs, Xorrto (scaled, aquatic preadators), and Louryls (if Sidhe's had evil twins...). Vodran, and most of the characters mentioned on this site, are from the Lensmoorian continent. Within society on both continents, there exist 'clans'. Clans such as Anastazi are easily seen as a 'clan', while others, such as Algol, seem to be more of an order, and others, still, such as Sykin and the Artificers, can be seen more as guilds than 'clans', per say. Some of these clans, such as the latter two, are 'npk', or 'non player-killing', while the others partake/are open to pk (plater killing). The clans of Lensmoor, at presnet, are: Tarmanom -- A clan of warrior-teachers. Anastazi -- A clan/tribe which generally seeks neutrality. Valkyries -- The female clan of Lensmoor. It is only open to female members -- of any   background, profession, and aligment. Reives -- A clan made up of those who seek to gain and/or hoard things, generally   known for containing theives, contract killers, and so on. Their members do,   however, include those who seek to hoard knowledge -- teachers, such as Zeet. Algol -- Lensmoor's evil clan. The Algolians seek to purge all Light, and every trace   thereof, from the lands, and replace it with darkness. Its members include   some of the most dangerous, deadly, and evil persons in all the lands. Dawn -- The clan of Light, containing members of goodly alignment and intent.   Dawn is the polar opposite to Algol. Sykin -- The clan of those who seek knowledge, in any form, and those as well who wish to   pass it on. This clan is NPK. Artificers -- The Artificers is a guild, open to all craft-persons, of any alignment.   Their members are all crafters. They are an NPK clan, as well. The clans of Lensmoor have various interactions. Joining a PK clan on one character prevents you from joining a clan on any other character, unless: the clan is NPK, it is the same clan as the other clanned character, or the other character is on the other continent. The reason for this is that, in the event of a war between clans, one character would likely be required to interact or kill the other -- interaction between two alts is not permitted under any circumstance, and thus this, as well, is not allowed. Many of the clans have fallen into shambles over the years. At present, within Lensmoor's world, the once-threatening Algol has fallen into its own darkness; some members have become inactive, others have vanished, and others, still, have left the lands for good. Anastazi's members have, in general, gone much the same -- they've left, retired, or found other paths to tread. Members of clan Tarmanom are also seeming scarce, though they are more substantial and active than the aformentioned Algol, and Anastazi. The hero-dragon, Indra, is probably the best known member of this clan. Afym'q seems to be doing fairly well off for members -- Almost the entire Doedel family are members (and this family is fairly large!), and it seems to have no shortage of other members, either. Of all the PK clans, Dawn, Reives, and the Valkyries seem to be doing the best. The Light has become more and more popular, and more and more seem to follow Dawn's ways. The Valkyries have always had quite the stock of members: There is no shortage of women within the lands, and many of them choose to side with their sisters in the Valkyries. Reives...Over the years, Reives has gone through phases. They started out quite well respected, then dipped down to the level of petty thieves, and were dragged through the mud for years, having many a joke made at their expense. Recently, though, The Society of Reives has grown quite large, and its members have become rather intelligent and strong. It's begun to turn back to how it was many years before. Basicly, this is the starting point of this main page, and will help you understand some of the others. There will be a page dedicated to Algol off of this site in the future.
